April 26, 2024 – Retarus has boosted its protection for all Email Security customers using Retarus Advanced Threat Protection. A new AI-supported sandboxing solution now ensures even more effective detection of cunning zero-day exploits. An additional AntiSpam engine, moreover, now also provides companies with even better protection against phishing scams by filtering out suspect image files, such as QR codes, from emails – as well as identifying links which may pose a risk.

July 7, 2022 – The security experts at Retarus have issued a warning about the growing number of disguised phishing attacks emanating from Russia. According to a recent analysis published by the enterprise cloud service provider, 98 percent of the emails classified as malicious could not be conclusively attributed to Russia based on their domain endings, rendering the blocking of emails at the domain level futile. Retarus advises companies to take this into consideration as far as their email security solutions are concerned – and to take the appropriate measures.

September 1, 2020 – The CERT at Retarus has issued a warning regarding phishing emails in which recipients are instructed to edit important business partner contracts. The phishers pretend to make the document available on the otherwise reputable Dotloop platform, directing the recipients to a fake login page for their Microsoft account.

June 17, 2020 – Following several months of successful beta testing, the Munich-based enterprise cloud services provider Retarus has now activated its comprehensively modernized quarantine service for all existing customers of its Email Security service. For the relaunch, both the front end and the corresponding back-end systems have been updated comprehensively, including a user interface and experience optimized for mobile display.
