As of now, Retarus is one of the signatories of the German Charter of Digital Networking (Charta der digitalen Vernetzung), a voluntary entrepreneurial initiative that was set up as part of the “National IT Summit” of the German government. The Charter’s objective is to establish a common platform for dialog between business, science, politics, and civil society.
The signatories of the Charter commit to making a contribution to digital transformation in order to meet the demands of the future and, in doing so, support the design and implementation demands of Germany as a digital location. The declaration serves as a common base for the interaction and cooperation between businesses, organizations, and public-sector clients.
The ten principles of the Charter relate in particular to the social and economic potential of digitization and to the handling of data. The supporters further emphasize the importance of a non-discriminatory participation and the promotion of education and qualification. Along with Retarus, supporters of the initiative include several renowned German and international companies, associations, and scientific institutions.
