Following suite in Europe and the USA, Retarus was recently granted another patent, this time in Canada, regarding their cloud communication technology.
Issued by Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada, the Canadian Intellectual Property Office, the patent covers the “method for transmitting fax messages from a fax message sending device to a fax message receiving device” (i.e., a hybrid fax driver). Beyond the sending and receiving of fax transmissions, Retarus’ clever routing and delivery of messages is also covered by the patent.
Some of the details of the patent include “deciding, on routing rules, whether the data is sent to a fax communication device or a cloud provider” and “based on the decision result, selective routing the fax data to the communication device or to the cloud provider for transmission to the fax message receiving device.”
This builds on the already impressive list of patents Retarus already holds throughout the world, regarding fax and email security.
