We are boosting our protection for all Email Security customers using Advanced Threat Protection. A new AI-supported sandboxing solution now ensures even more effective detection of cunning zero-day exploits. An additional anti-spam engine, moreover, will also provide companies with even better protection against phishing scams.
With the sandboxing function, potentially malicious attachments are executed in a virtual, isolated environment and examined for irregular behavior. The innovative sandboxing technology employed by Retarus Email Security uses cutting-edge machine learning, neural networks and behavioral analytics to detect complex zero-day threats and novel malware variants even more reliably. In addition, our customers continue to benefit from the knowledge gathered by a global, external threat intelligence network, without sharing any of their own data with third parties. All data is transmitted in encrypted form and deleted immediately once the file has been examined in the sandbox environment.
On top of this, Retarus will also augment the detection mechanisms used to identify spam and phishing by offering all Advanced Threat Protection customers an additional anti-spam engine based on numerous filters and algorithms which are continuously updated by way of cloud databases. This new AntiSpam Management option works independently of the language and detects dangerous links even if they are hidden in QR codes. Based on machine learning models and special heuristics, the new anti-spam engine has an improved ability to detect masked senders – no matter whether they are concealed in the header or body of the email.
