The latest edition of IBM’s “Cost of a Data Breach” report has just been published. As in previous years, the Ponemon Institute collected the data for the report, which shows that a data breach currently costs companies USD 4.88 million on average.

The Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences was forced to disconnect important systems from the web on July 6, 2024. Among other things, according to a statement issued by the university, the institute is “has no capacity for inbound or outbound communication by way of phone or email at present”.
