Be it due to increasingly sophisticated cyber-attacks, high cost pressure or strict legal guidelines such as the EU Data Protection Regulation or the new IT Security Act – IT security stands alongside cloud computing, big data, social business and mobile enterprise as one of the topics to which the ITC is currently paying most attention. According to the Experton Group’s Security Vendor Benchmark 2016 the IT security market will grow by about seven per cent in the coming year. By 2020 analysts expect security expenses to rise up to 6.5 billion euros. This corresponds to an average annual growth of seven percent.
