With the new external sender visibility enhancements (ESVE) offered by Retarus E-Mail Security, some attempts at unauthorized assumption of authority via email can be stopped in their tracks at the very outset.
That’s because this new function flags emails that have been received from an external relay, although the sender should actually be sitting within the company network and the message should never have left it. This is done either optically by means of an unmistakable Unicode symbol or alternatively via a freely definable text alert.
In this uncomplicated way, recipients are made aware of the fact that something may be wrong with the sender of an incoming message. We are offering ESVE free of charge to all Retarus E-Mail Security customers as a new component of our Essential Protection package. Much more technically complex, powerful protection against such “Fake President” scams is available for an additional fee with the “CxO Fraud Protection” module included in the “Advanced Threat Protection” package.
