Furthermore, the health insurance uses Retarus\u2019 SMS gateway for MFA one-time passwords from its customer portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bundesinnungskrankenkasse Gesundheit&nbsp;\u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.big-direkt.de\/de\/security-and-service-your-health\">BIG direkt gesund<\/a>, as it is known for short&nbsp;\u2013 was founded in 1996 in Dortmund and provides health insurance for around 500,000 people throughout Germany. It is legally based in Berlin, with its head office in Dortmund and an important administrative center in Aachen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before the introduction of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.retarus.com\/services\/fax\/\">Retarus Cloud Fax<\/a> several years ago, BIG direkt gesund used a fax solution with on-premises fax machines. These devices were cumbersome to operate and inevitably led to communication breakdowns and inefficient processes. BIG wanted to reduce the manual effort involved in fax communication and optimize its processes. Specifically, they wanted the option of using fax functions directly from their employees\u2019 PC workstations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Retarus was able to fulfill this requirement by integrating Email-to-Fax\/Fax-to-Email into the usual email workflow. Retarus\u2019 services were integrated into the existing Outlook\/Exchange infrastructure, including LDAP synchronization with the directory service. The new cloud-based fax solution was well received by users. No special training was needed beyond a one-time briefing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>BIG direkt gesund uses\u00a0Retarus Cloud Fax\u00a0to communicate with authorities, service providers and associations of statutory health insurance physicians and is very satisfied with the stability and availability of services.
