This acceleration has been made possible by employing additional Retarus data centers in North America and the Asia Pacific region as API end-points for the redirecting of URLs. In this way, latencies are reduced for users located geographically close to these data centers. Websites called up via email hyperlinks which have been rewritten and then checked for phishing and malware, now load appreciably faster.
Time-of-Click Protection automatically rewrites links (URLs) contained in emails (URL rewriting) and checks if the links are potentially dangerous at the time they are clicked on, and then prevents direct access to untrustworthy sites.
