Our cool new E-Mail Security feature \u201cPatient Zero Detection<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>\u201d is now fully live for our existing customers.<\/span> <span lang=\"EN-US\">You may well remember our <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.retarus.com\/blog\/it\/introducing-patient-zero-detection\/\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">advance notice about Patient Zero Detection<sup>\u00ae<\/sup><\/span><\/a><span lang=\"EN-US\"> at the end of October 2016. Since then our development, QA and Infrastructure Service departments have been working flat out to bring the new solution into operation. And with great success, too. Patient Zero Detection<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> has just gone live for our existing customers and can be configured in the EAS portal. The latest development is that customers are now also able to book and activate the Patient Zero Detection<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> function directly in the portal for \u20ac 0.50 per mailbox per month.<\/span> <span lang=\"EN-US\">Our virus scanners delete 99.99 percent of all incoming viruses. Yet new types of malware and mutations occasionally go undetected as they are not yet known, meaning that emails containing them may be delivered. Customers who have booked Patient Zero Detection<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> are informed about recipients that have received attachments containing a previously unknown virus (the so-called patient zero). This helps you to quickly recognize and eliminate such undetected threats, or limit the harm they can cause. How exactly does this all work? Your Retarus <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.retarus.com\/it\/contact\/\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">contact person<\/span><\/a><span lang=\"EN-US\"> will be glad to explain the technical details.<\/span> <span lang=\"EN-US\">Patient Zero Detection<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> is an additional function for <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.retarus.com\/it\/products\/retarus-email-security\/\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Retarus E-Mail Security<\/span><\/a><span lang=\"EN-US\">. It provides the most meaningful benefit when used in conjunction with <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.retarus.com\/it\/tech-products\/retarus-email-security\/#top2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">fourfold scanning<\/span><\/a><span lang=\"EN-US\">. In addition, we highly recommend our <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.retarus.com\/it\/tech-products\/retarus-email-security\/#top8\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Attachment Blocker<\/span><\/a><span lang=\"EN-US\">. Tests we carried in the last quarter of 2016 clearly show that by using these functions, companies can effectively avoid two-thirds of such \u201cpatient zeros\u201d. In other words, the targeted blocking of potentially dangerous file types also blocks a lot of new mutations. <\/span> <span lang=\"EN-US\">In the near future, Patient Zero Detection<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> will naturally also be available to new customers.
