Implementation of Retarus Email-to-Fax boosts internal efficiency and drives digitisation for Malaysia’s leading healthcare provider

Today, Malaysia’s healthcare industry is experiencing the impact of digitisation, with increasing volumes of data, and more stringent security requirements since the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) came into force in 2013. The ability to send faxes directly from desktops, lab and pharmacy systems whilst adhering to compliance regulations for sensitive patient information, allows BP Healthcare to now dedicate more time to patients’ needs and access to medical services and actively play a role in shaping the future of the healthcare industry.

The increased automation and workflow integration also frees employees from time-consuming administrative tasks, facilitating greater efficiency across the company. Retarus’ web-based Enterprise Administration Services (EAS) portal enables quick data search and detailed analysis of fax transmission. Faxes can also be sent out as email attachments and used as digital records, promoting greater transparency and ease of patient record retrieval.
